Job description
Need a web designer with HTML/CSS skills who wants to work closely with a Grails development team. Hope grails by proximity counts for this job board. :)Want to learn responsive design? Ever designed a mobile or tablet application?
He/She will be responsible for taking wireframes and creating detailed photoshop mockups that create a great user experience and leverage the existing VT brand identity. In addition, he/she will be taking Photoshop prototypes and converting them to working HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
Skills and requirements
Required skills:- Associates degree in graphics design/web design/computer science/engineering or equivalent experience (2-3 years of Photoshop/HTML/CSS/JavaScript experience)
- Expertise/Hands on experience hand coding with HTML, CSS
- Basic level Javascript knowledge and some exposure to jQuery a plus
- Hands on experience with Mac OS
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet dead lines
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Thinks “out of the box” with ability to come up with creative solutions
Preferred Skills:
- HTML5, CSS, AJAX, JQuery, and SVN/GIT (or similar version control system)
- Mobile Web or Mobile Appplication design experience a plus
- Responsive design experience a plus
